WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE  -  IN GLENROTHES ART CLUB'S 62nd YEAR! 

Mixed Media Art Class

This six week Tutor-led course will be held on Thursday afternoons from 2pm to 4pm, in the Cottar House Studios.

The start date will be Thursday 26th October

The Tutor is Rosalind Crawford who studied at Elmwood College  and was awarded Best Art & Illustration Student. She then graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone with a first class honours degree in Textile Design.   She has tutored at  Crail, East Neuk and Largo Bay Art Clubs, Art for Pleasure, Leven, and at The Steeple Newburgh, organising their annual exhibition.

Weeks 1 & 2

Seascapes using plaster, acrylics and mod-roc on boards

Week 3

Plaster fresco with watercolour and acrylics.

Buildings in a collage of mixed media

Prepare paper for week 4 & 5

Weeks 4 & 5

Still Life— a loose expressive painting with a touch of collage using acrylics

Week 6

Sketch books.  Art books. Themes and development, inspiration and visual research.

 

The fee is £5.00 per class  for Club Members and £7.00 for non-members and you  will be asked to pay for the 6 weeks  on registering for the classes.

Please add your name to the list in Cottar House Studios and leave payment of fee.   There are a limited number of places so don’t miss out.

 

Painting Classes and Workshop

THEME  —  SKY

A four week Tutor-led course held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, in the Cottar House Studios.

The start date will be Tuesday 7th November

Workshop is on Saturday 16th December, 11am—4pm

The Tutor is Gemma Coyle, a graduate from Edinburgh College of Art with a Masters in Drawing and Painting. She has won several awards and travel scholarships and has represented the UK in a biennale in Greece. For the past thirteen years she has worked as an Art Specialist, teaching all over Scotland.

Week 1

Graduated sky using a colour stream, and how to paint clouds

Week 2

Moonlight night sky

Week 3

Stormy sky

Week 4

Sunset / sunrise

WORKSHOP

Paint a sky of your choosing

 

The fee is £5.00 per class  for Club Members and £7.00 for non-members and you are asked to pay for the 4 weeks  on registering for the classes.

The Workshop is £20 for Members, £25 for non-members to be paid by 30th November 2017

The Fife (Shell) Art Exhibition is underway in Lochgelly Centre. Many of our Members are exhibiting, but sadly this year we had no winners.

Dr David Caldwell, Chair of Fife Cultural Trust announces the winners and highly commended artists.
