WORKSHOPS WITH ANDREW PARRY

 

                                                         Relief Printmaking                                          

Learn the art of relief printing.

These workshops offer you the chance to learn the basic principles of Lino and Japanese wood block printing.

You will learn how to cut your design into your block, how to ink-up and print.

Once you have learned these basic techniques you will be able to produce your own prints.  This technique does not require a large printing press.

All materials for this course are provided.

Sunday March 12th    All day workshop (10am – 4pm)

Cost: £20 for members;  £25.00 for non-members—payable in advance

Coffee/tea provided but bring a packed lunch

Ceramic Sculpture Workshops

Learn the ancient art of hand building with clay.

You will learn techniques such as coiling and slab building.  You can make tiles and use slips and glazes to decorate your ceramics.  Bring a packed lunch  - coffee and tea provided

Saturday  April 15th and Sunday April 16th 

All day workshops (10am - 4pm)

Cost for the 2 days: Members £30 and non-members £35—payable in advance

Composition and Abstraction

 

Andrew Parry our Tutor will provide ‘An intensive weekend course where, using any medium, you will have the opportunity to explore some of the ideas in Modern Art’

This course is aimed at people who are already painting. Composition is probably the most powerful means of expression that you have. In this workshop you will look at what are the key elements in a dynamic and interesting composition.

Saturday May 13th and Sunday May 14th

All day workshops (10am - 4pm)

Coffee and tea provided but bring a packed lunch.
