IMPORTANT NOTICE TO MEMBERS

SALES OF MEMBERS' WORK FROM GLENROTHES ARTS CENTRE

  • We have experienced some issues with sales of Members' work recently and the Committee have agreed the following procedure for sales.
  • We have created an Inventory of items for sale.
  • A standard label will be put on each item with the Title of Painting / Artwork; Name of Artist; and Price.
  • Persons wishing to purchase an item will be asked to phone or email Lilian who will get the buyers details and request that they visit Cottar House Studios in a few days time, during our normal opening times to pay for and collect their purchase.
  • A Committee Member will collect the item from the Arts Centre and take it to Cottar House.
  • When the buyer attends Cottar House to pay / collect item, please assist by taking payment (cash or cheque made to "Glenrothes Art Club" only) and handing over the purchased item.
  • The cash / cheque should be left for Helen Dick (Treasurer) with a note stating what the payment is for.
  • The Artist will then be paid (less Art Club commssion)  by cheque by the Treasurer.
  • If the buyer pays and collects the item, it will be removed from the Inventory and the Artist can replace with another artwork.
  • If the buyer fails to collect the work from the Cottar House within 14 days, the purchase will be cancelled and the item returned to the Glenrothes Arts Centre at the first possible opportunity.

Any issues, please contact a member of the Art Club Committee.
