NEW CRAFT GROUP FOR ART CLUB WILL START ON 15th JANUARY

GREAT NEWS!
Glenrothes Art Club has a new group starting on Tuesday 15th January and then meeting every Tuesday afternoon onwards. The meeting times are 2pm to 4pm.
If you are already a “Crafter”, or would like to take up and develop a new skill, please come along. If you know of a relative, friend or neighbour who might be interested in this Craft Group, please pass on the information and invite them to join us on Tuesday afternoons at 2pm.
The group will be starting its programme with a demonstration on "Embossing Greetings Cards" - surely an item that everyone would like to be able to make for themselves!
Bring along whatever Crafts you would like to work on.

CHRISTMAS / NEW YEAR CLOSING DATES
THE CLUB RE-OPENS ON MONDAY 9th JANUARY 2012

Dear Members,
BID FOR WAYSIDE HALL
I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and that Santa has been good to you.
As promised I am writing to let you know of developments with the Wayside Hall. I received a letter from Kevin Sayers, the Area Services Manager on 22nd December. Unfortunately we have not been successful in our bid to purchase the hall. He said that he would write to us sometime in January to give us feedback and that there was likely to be another round of sales in the coming year. I have replied to him and ask that he gives us this feedback by return as we have some important decisions to make about the future of the club. Although I did not specify, these are mainly to do with work needing done on the building.
So it looks as if the agenda for the committee for the coming year is set and its eyes down for some fundraising!
It is all very disappointing but Hey Ho! We just have to get on with it. At least we are better off than many groups – we have a building to meet in.
In the meantime have a Happy New Year and don’t stay too sober.
Cheers
Lilian
