The Art Club took a major step to becoming a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) today. Revised Constitution adopted at a Special General Meeting and we now make application to the Scottish Charity Regulator.

GLENROTHES ART CLUB WELCOMES JENNY GILRUTH, MSP

We are delighted that the MSP for Mid Fife and Glenrothes visited our new Studios and Club Rooms in Caledonia House. After a tour of the facilities and a discussion on the future plans for developing the Art Club, Jenny wrote in the Guest Book " An absolutely fabulous local community club - as ever, I am blown away by the talent we have locally". Lilian Sloan, Club President added "I wish to thank Jenny for her continuing support of Glenrothes Art Club and interest in our plans to make our Club a great resource for people interested in arts and crafts in the local area".

FiFab Charity Cheque Presentation on Friday 30th August 

Lilian Sloan accepts donation to Glenrothes Art Club to assist with costs of Annual Exhibition and the work of the Club with young people.

 

 

HIRE OF EXHIBITION SPACE

After the great success of the "Conundrum" exhibition by Alan Kennedy - artists are invited to discuss holding their own or a joint exhibition of paintings; drawings; craft work or photography.

Interested in exhibiting your work or holding an event... an amazing space 60 feet x 30 feet (approx) can be hired in our Caledonia House Studios. Smaller rooms also available.

Regular Classes with Tutors

Every Wednesday and Thursday evening the club is open to artists to work with a professional artist. This is an opportunity to learn new skills, brush up on forgotten skills or simply to have fun in trying new things.

 

Rosalind Crawford works on a Wednesday evening from 6.30pm – 8.30pm Mainly an artist who works in mixed media, Rosalind will help you turn your ideas into new and interesting creations.

 

On a Thursday evening, from 6.30pm – 8.30pm Dorothy Black will help you to refresh your skills and bring new techniques to your drawing and painting.

 

For each of these classes there is a charge of £5.00 for members and £7.00 for non-members.

Tea and coffee are provided as are most materials.  You may be asked to provide some items as the class progresses.
