LUNCH AT THE ROTUNDA

As you will be aware, Lilian our President, has booked and planned another of the excellent Lunches in the Rotunda Training Restaurant of the Adam Smith College, Glenrothes Campus on Friday 1st June (seated for 12:15pm).

BANNER AND POSTERS FOR ANNUAL EXHIBITION

ALL MEMBERS ARE INVITED TO ENTER ONE OF THEIR PAINTINGS FOR SELECTION FOR THE PUBLICITY MATERIAL FOR THE 2012 ANNUAL EXHIBITION.

YOUR PAINTING WILL BE PHOTOGRAPHED AND RETURNED TO YOU. THE ENTRIES WILL BE PRESENTED TO GILLIAN PARSONS, CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT WORKER, fifespace GALLERY, ROTHES HALLS, WHO WILL CHOOSE ONE ENTRY TO FEATURE ON THE "PULL-UP" BANNER IN THE ROTHES HALLS, PLUS ON POSTERS, INVITATIONS etc FOR THE EXHIBITION.

YOUR ENTRY WILL ALSO BE USED FOR THE ART CLUB'S 2013 CALENDAR WHICH WILL BE ON SALE TO RAISE FUNDS FOR THE CLUB (AS WELL AS HIGHLIGHTING YOUR WORK).

YOUR ENTRY PLUS THE CONSENT FORM NEED TO BE SUBMITTED BY MONDAY 30th APRIL. PLEASE LEAVE IN THE CLUB ROOMS, CLEARLY MARKED "EXHIBITION BANNER ENTRY".

OIL PAINTING CLASSES

  COLIN CHRISTIE COMES TO GLENROTHES ART CLUB

The new series of OIL PAINTING CLASSES started on Saturday 17th March 2012 and followed by Saturdays 24th and 31st March from 10am to 4pm each day. Tutor is Colin Christie from Midlothian, a well respected painter and lecturer. He began painting in his teens and went on to graduate from Edinburgh College of Art and Glasgow School of Art.  This course is on basic work in oils and, unlike with other organisations running classes, materials are supplied.

UNFRAMED SALES

The next dates are Friday 8th & Saturday 9th June.

NEW CRAFT GROUP FOR ART CLUB GETS OFF TO A GREAT START

Glenrothes Art Club has a new group  meeting every Tuesday afternoon 2pm to 4pm.

If you are already a “Crafter”, or would like to take up and develop a new skill, please come along. If you know of a relative, friend or neighbour who might be interested in this Craft Group, please pass on the information and invite them to join us on Tuesday afternoons at 2pm.
